This is a comprehensive solo piano adaptation of Frantz Casseus’s historic classical guitar composition, 'Nan Fon Bwa.' Transcribed and produced through a contemporary lens, this arrangement completely reimagines the original work by introducing sophisticated jazz and neo-soul harmonic structures, utilizing smooth 7th chords and rich, extended voicings designed to expand and breathe. The rhythmic framework has been elegantly updated with subtle syncopations and fluid shifts in meter that mimic the natural, wave-like movement of water. Melodically faithful yet texturally transformative, this piece serves as both an evocative performance work and an excellent pedagogical study in modern groove, rubato phrasing, and expressive modal interpretation for intermediate to advanced pianists.
